KART RACER ON PC / RELEASED

PAW Patrol: Grand Prix

A PAW Patrol kart racer for young players, with 11 tracks, four-player split-screen and an easy control option that accelerates automatically.

  • 4 local players
  • Deck Verified

Our verdict

Grand Prix is designed with the youngest racers in mind. Its easy control option accelerates automatically and helps guide players around the track, while a hard mode is there for older or more experienced players, so a parent and a child can race in the same session.

The content is built around the show. You race as pups such as Chase, Skye and Marshall through locations including Adventure Bay, Jake's snowboarding resort and the jungle, across 11 tracks, and unlock character skills such as Chase's siren, which slows down nearby racers. Mayor Humdinger leaves obstacles on the track along the way.

Up to four players can race in split-screen, and a controller is required for two to four players. No online multiplayer is listed, so this is strictly a same-room game. Two DLC packs, Race in Barkingburg and Pup Treat Arena, are sold separately.

Valve rates it Verified on Steam Deck, and Steam lists full controller support. If your child prefers dinosaurs or Ryan's World, Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart and Race With Ryan come from the same developer and are also local-only.

Based on the documented features of the PC version, not a hands-on review or score.
