KART RACER ON PC / RELEASED

Smurfs Kart

A Smurfs kart racer for families with 12 tracks from the Smurfs' world and four-player split-screen. Online play is limited to leaderboards for its time challenges.

  • 4 local players

Our verdict

Smurfs Kart is a family racer for playing in one room. Its 12 tracks come from the Smurfs' world, including the village, the forest, the dam, the swamps and Gargamel's house, and up to four players can race in split-screen on one PC.

Online play is limited to rankings. In the Time Challenge mode you try to beat each Smurf's time on their own track, and your best time goes onto an online leaderboard. No online racing against other players is listed, so it suits a household that plays together on the sofa rather than friends in different places.

The game has full controller support, and Steam recommends a gamepad. Note the Steam Deck rating: Valve currently lists Smurfs Kart as Unsupported, so if a Deck is your main device, PAW Patrol: Grand Prix and Gigantosaurus: Dino Kart are rated Verified.

With 12 tracks, the content list is shorter than those of the Nickelodeon and DreamWorks racers. It fits best when the Smurfs are the reason to play and everyone is in the same room. For online racing with a licensed cast, look at Garfield Kart - Furious Racing instead.

Based on the documented features of the PC version, not a hands-on review or score.

How Wildlap compares

Smurfs Kart stays in the Smurfs' village and forest. Wildlap's worlds range from island roads to a circuit beneath the ocean, with local split-screen planned for the full game.

We make Wildlap. It is a PC kart racer in development, without a release date or public demo yet.
